Aynur: Rabê

About this event

Aynur returns to the Philharmonie Essen for the Sounds of Heimat series, four years after her acclaimed debut there. Her voice sets traditional Kurdish folk song against a contemporary Western sound, a language she has been building for twenty-five years. The band is international: Hayden Chisholm (saxophone), Caner Malkoç (clarinet), Mahan Mirarab (guitar), Chris Jennings (bass), Franz von Chossy (piano) and Patrick Goraguer (drums).
