These are the rules for using Kurdish Events. By browsing the site, submitting an event, hosting one, or buying a ticket, you agree to them.

Kurdish Events, operated by Webkew, is a place to find Kurdish diaspora events, to host your own, and to buy and sell tickets for them. Browsing is free and needs no account. A free account lets you save events, host your own, and keep track of what you have booked.
When an event sells tickets here, you are buying from the host, not from us. We provide the checkout and take the payment on the host's behalf. The section on buying a ticket sets out what that means for you.
Anyone can submit an event, with or without an account. When you submit, you confirm that the details are accurate as far as you know, and that you have the right to share any poster or image you upload.
Submitted events are reviewed by our team before they appear on the site. We may edit the details for accuracy or clarity, and we may decline to publish an event without giving a reason.
If you host your own event, it publishes immediately and is reviewed afterwards. You are responsible for keeping its details accurate and up to date. You can edit or take down your own event at any time from your account.
If you sell tickets through us, you are the seller. The contract is between you and your guests: you run the event as you described it, you set a refund policy and you honour it, and you deal with any complaint about the event itself. We collect the money on your behalf, take the fee shown to you at the time, and pay the rest out to you.
You also confirm that you are allowed to run the event and sell tickets for it, including holding any permit or licence it needs. If you cancel, refunding your ticket holders in full is your responsibility.
We may take down a hosted event that breaks these terms, is misleading, or is not a real event. Where money has changed hands, we may hold a payout while we look into it.
Registering (an RSVP or an "I'm going" mark) is the free way to tell a host you plan to attend. It is not a ticket and it is not a guarantee of entry. Where a host has set a limit, you may be placed on a waiting list, or your registration may need the host's approval.
When you register for an event, the host can see your name and email address so they can manage their guest list. You can cancel a registration at any time.
When you buy a ticket, your contract is with the host running the event. We are not the seller. What we do is provide the checkout, take the payment on the host's behalf, and send you your confirmation.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to them and never reach us, so we cannot see or store them. The ticket price and any service fee are both shown before you confirm.
Refunds. The host sets the refund policy for their events, and it is shown on the event page before you pay. Worth knowing: the usual 14-day right to change your mind about something bought online does not apply to tickets for an event on a set date. That is a standard exception in EU consumer law, and it is why a refund is the host's decision rather than something you can claim automatically.
If a host cancels an event, refunding you in full is their responsibility. Tell us if that does not happen and we will chase it, though we cannot promise the outcome. Where we are still holding the money at the time, we will return it to you.
A ticket admits you on the host's own conditions of entry. Please do not resell a ticket for more than you paid for it.
We may remove content, or suspend an account, that breaks these rules.
Submitting an event is a tip, not a finished piece of work handed over. You tell us an event exists, usually with a poster or a link, and we build the listing from there: our software reads what you sent, researches the event to fill the gaps, and our team checks and edits the result.
That listing, and the catalogue it sits in, belong to us. That covers how we describe, structure, and assemble events, and it is why the catalogue may not be copied out or scraped. Plain facts about an event, such as its date and venue, belong to nobody, and we claim nothing over them.
A poster or photo works differently, and we would rather be accurate than sweeping about it. Whoever made the image keeps the copyright, which is usually the organiser or their designer rather than you or us. By uploading one you confirm you are allowed to share it, and you give us permission to show and resize it for the listing, including in the preview when someone shares a link. If you believe an image should not be there, tell us and we will take it down.
Event details come from the people who submit them, and from automated research. We check what we reasonably can, but we cannot guarantee that a date, time, price, or venue is correct. Always check with the organiser before travelling.
The site is provided free and as-is. We do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free, and we may change or withdraw features at any time.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, from attending or failing to attend a listed event, or from dealings with an organiser. Because the host is the seller of any ticket, we are not responsible for the event itself, for it being cancelled, or for a refund the host owes you.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and nothing here takes away your rights as a consumer.
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and continuing to use the site means you accept the new version. Dutch law applies.
