Kurdish Events lists Kurdish diaspora events, lets people host their own, and sells tickets for them. This page explains exactly what we store about you, why, and how to get it removed.

You can browse the whole site without an account. We run no advertising and set no tracking cookies. We count page views using a privacy-friendly, cookieless service that cannot follow you between visits. Beyond that, we only store personal data when you choose to do something with it: create an account, submit an event, RSVP, or buy a ticket.
Kurdish Events is operated by Webkew. For anything in this policy, including a request to see or delete your data, write to hello@kurdish.events.
When you just browse: nothing that identifies you personally. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits, which records the page viewed, the site you arrived from, your country, and your browser and device type. It sets no cookie and builds no profile: the anonymous identifier it uses is rebuilt every day, so it cannot recognise you tomorrow or on any other website.
When you create an account: your email address, and (if you sign in with Google) your name and profile picture as Google supplies them. We use these to sign you in, show your saved events, and link the events you submit or host to you. There is no password, so we never hold one.
When you submit an event: whatever you provide, which may be a poster image, a link, a PDF, or text you type. If you are signed in, the submission is linked to your account so you can track its status.
When you RSVP to an event: your name and email address, so the host knows who is coming and we can send you a confirmation. You can RSVP as a guest without an account. Hosts can see the name and email of people registered for their own event.
When you buy a ticket: your name, your email address, and what you bought. The payment itself is handled by Stripe: your card details go straight to them and never reach our servers, so we cannot see or store them. Stripe tells us only whether the payment worked and a reference for it. The host of the event can see your name, your email address, and what you bought, because they need it to run their door.
To stop abuse: when you submit, upload, or use the AI assistant, we store a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address so we can apply rate limits. A hash cannot be turned back into your address. These records are deleted automatically after 30 days. We also log whether the AI safety check allowed or blocked a message, but never the content of the message itself; those records are deleted after 180 days.
We set one cookie, and only after you sign in: the cookie that keeps you signed in. We also save your light or dark theme choice in your own browser's storage. Both are strictly necessary to give you the site you asked for, so neither needs a consent banner.
We set no advertising or tracking cookies at all. Our visit counter (see above) is deliberately a cookieless one, which is why you are not asked to accept anything when you arrive.
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They process data on our instructions only, and none of them are permitted to use it for their own purposes.
We do not sell your data, and we never share it for advertising.
Under the GDPR you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, hand it over in a portable format, or stop using it. Write to hello@kurdish.events and we will respond within one month.
If you are not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to your national data protection authority. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
This site is not aimed at children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
If we change what we collect or who processes it, we will update this page and change the date at the top. See also our terms of service.
