Rockin'Squat
Avenue de Tervueren 158, Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, Belgium
Public day of the first joint gala of the Oupsi and Swipa popular boxing collectives, hosted by Rockin'Squat, under the motto 'Boxe populaire contre la guerre'. From 14:00 there is a discussion and round table on war, resistance and self-defence, with a representative of the Kurdish struggle, the Woman Life Freedom Brussels collective, the Flemish pacifist group Vredesactie and a group defending LGBTI+ rights in Turkey. Exhibition muay thai and boxing bouts follow from 16:00 to 21:00, then a party from 21:00 to 02:00 with a fanfare, a punk concert and DJ sets. Bar and light food on site. Anyone attending must register quickly on site with the Rockin'Squat ASBL (name and signature). This is a political solidarity event rather than a Kurdish cultural event, so the Kurdish content is one panel speaker among several.
