About this event

Jîna Academy’s first biennial conference, organized in collaboration with EHESS, brings together scholars, researchers, educators, intellectuals, and activists from Kurdistan, Europe, and the diaspora. The two-day programme features an opening keynote lecture, four thematic panels, and a concluding roundtable on political horizons for Kurdistan. Discussions address the production and decolonization of knowledge about Kurdistan, alternative academies and educational spaces, changing understandings of the Kurdish question, Kurdish experiences and narratives in the writing of history, and women’s struggles to create and transform public spaces. The conference will take place in Kurdish (Sorani and Kurmanji) and English.
