About this event

Two Italian operators working for Watch The Med Alarm Phone take an emergency call from the central Mediterranean. For eleven minutes they stay in contact with a man in danger and struggle to save a hundred migrants sinking on a rubber boat. Conditions on board worsen, people fall into the water, the boat goes down and the line cuts out. What happened to the people on board is never learned. One of the most awarded Italian short films of 2024. Directed by Michele D’Anca. Italy. Screened at the 7th Kobani International Film Festival, in the International Competition.
