About this event
A screening of Guerrilla Archive (2025), a 50-minute documentary produced by CNRS and directed by Chowra Makaremi, with Setar Faithi and Shahrzad Mojab. The film explores a previously unseen visual archive of photographs, sounds and videos documenting the daily lives of Kurdish Peshmergas after the 1979 Iranian revolution. It traces militant memory between armed struggle and community organising within Komala, a Kurdish communist party opposed to the Islamic State, and examines how documenting can become a political act. The screening is followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Shahrzad Mojab, chaired by Adam Hanieh, and a drinks reception. Free to attend; registration required. Seating is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
