Inside Syria

About this event

There was cautious optimism after rebel leader Ahmed al-Sharaa ousted Assad two years ago. Where does Syria stand today? Join Syrian political scholars and journalists who fled their country to discuss Syria’s political future, the challenges of rebuilding after war and authoritarian rule, and what the country’s transition can teach others. Speakers: Peshmerge Morad, researcher and advocate; Mais Katt, investigative journalist; Mohammad Kanfash, PhD, Centre for Conflict Studies at Utrecht University; Jouman Fattal, playwright; and Jorg Zinken, special envoy to Syria. Tickets are available. The event is supported by Vfonds.
