Loma Reqs present their debut album "Qemirî" (2026), described as Kurdish Acid—a fusion of Kurdish poetry with Acid Trance, Reggaeton, and flirrende Synth-Loops. The duo consists of kurdische Singer-Songwriterin Hêja Netirk and kolumbianischer Komponist/ Producer Rico Danta. Their music combines physical beats with distorted Saz solos, exploring themes of resistance including against patriarchat, frauenfeindlichkeit, ausgrenzung, and unterdrückung. Tracks highlighted include Çiyayê Bagokê and Nêrgis. Their performance is part of Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, a major platform for international pop culture.
