Makam Salam at 'Listen to the world'

About this event

An intimate six-piece concert by Makam Salam, a London collective of musicians from across the Middle East and its diaspora, bringing Palestinian, Israeli, Iranian, Lebanese, Turkish, Kurdish and Jewish diaspora players together on one stage. Their music draws on ancient folk traditions and adds a contemporary jazz-fusion twist, moving between meditative and rhythmic sounds, with a moment for everyone to sing together. A sixth artist is to be confirmed. Tickets: standard £15, concession £7, or feeling generous £20, each plus a £0.75 booking fee; a free guest ticket is available for refugees and asylum seekers.
