Luxor Live presents a double bill concert featuring iconic artist Omar Souleyman and CHAMOS. The event offers an eclectic night of uplifting world rhythms and electronic beats. Omar Souleyman, known for his prolific career as a wedding singer in Syria, released nearly 500 live cassettes before the Syrian civil war (2011). His music gained global recognition through compilations by Sublime Frequencies, leading to collaborations with artists like Four Tet, Modeselektor, Björk, and Gorillaz (featured on the track 'Damascus' from their album 'The Mountain'). Recent albums include 'To Syria, With Love' and 'Erbil' on Mad Decent. CHAMOS, an Arnhem-based DJ and producer collective with Kurdish and Dutch roots, blends West Asian influences, bass, and percussion into genre-defying sets.
