Internationally acclaimed soprano Pervin Chakar presents a musical journey connecting the ancient sounds of Mesopotamia with Western classical music traditions. She performs lesser-known folk songs and hymns from Kurdish, Armenian, Assyrian and other traditions, alongside highlights from the operatic repertoire. Her concerts blend Eastern and Western musical worlds, featuring languages including Kurdish, Turkish, Armenian, Assyrian, Italian, French, German and Yiddish. Collaborations with musicians skilled in both Western and Eastern instruments create a transcendent musical universe. Prémisse: studied cum laude at Conservatorio F. Morlacchi in Perugia; awarded multiple prizes including Maria Caniglia Competition, Magda Olivero Prize, Orfeo d’Oro Grand Prix Leyla Gencer, Best Female Voice Award (Semiha Berksoy Opera Foundation) and Donizetti Award.
