Rewşan calls what she does progressive folk music: traditional song rearranged for a present-day audience. Born in Tatvan in 1980, she is a singer, violinist and composer, and her debut Ax Lê Wesê reworked forgotten Kurdish and Armenian folk songs, while the follow-up Tov set well-known Kurdish poets to music. Her single Em Nadin, released in January 2026, is a wry bridal song from the Şirnak and Zaxo region. A rare German concert, with ensemble, in Kampnagel's k6.
