About this event

Songhoy Blues’ desert-linked blues-rock draws on the band’s experience of displacement from Timbuktu amid jihadist threats. After relocating within Mali, the group was discovered by Damon Albarn’s Africa Express around 2013 and released its debut album, Music in Exile, two years later.
